A glide bait is something people either are terrified of or absolutely can’t get enough of. It can be a pretty daunting thing if you’ve never picked one up before. Baits that cost upwards of $1000 and gear that you could seemingly tow a truck with. It doesn’t have to start off that way though. In this video I break down how to get started with a beginner glide bait that is EASY to throw and you don’t need special gear! Spoiler alert, you will get addicted!

I’d say the best all around glide bait would have to be the Swaver from River2Sea.
Next time get close to those metal or rock walls and fish down them fish like to pin bait against the wall. You will catch 10x more fish then reeling your bait away from the wall. Also you will want heavier gear. IF you don't have a beefy reel you will ruin the gears in your reel. Also the right rod will increase your hook up ratio. 7"11 or 8' is the sweet spot with a nice parabolic bend, rated for heavy line and lures.

IMO, Glide baits are 1 of the few baits, that the bigger baits seem to be more effective..the drawing power of a bigger glide is quite amazing…smaller glides no doubt catch fish, but their drawing power doesn't compare…with a smaller bait, u pretty much have to throw where the fish is…the larger glide baits, will pull fish out away from cover & out of deeper water to check the bait out….FYI, if u aren't changing out your fluoro VERY frequently, u are asking for a heartbreak…Fluoro's no controlled stretch is a major con that's not talked about
0_o! @ 5:12 Casper the friendly ghost wants to go fishing he picked out what soft plastics he wants to use… lol
What bait are you useing?
Dude you have a ghost in your garage/basement 😮
why are they so expensive
The bag falling made me laugh lol
So this is 2-3 times better than a swaver or is it just payed promotion? If you want a cheap glide bait there are plenty around 15-30 bucks
May I suggest a website called Alternative Lures. The lures are unpainted, but are replicas of super expensive swimbaits.
Add some color with sharpies or throw a Jig Skinz cover on it and you are ready to go.
There is a way to save money on lures without getting suckered into spending $50+ on a single lure…
Thank you Jonathan ,but im sorry i dont need to throw a $50 -$70 bait to catch fish .Great tips as usual God Bless you brother!
Merci pour les conseils!
