  1. Randy, I was #1 ON EARTH PLAYING PROFESSIONAL POOL ( at a certain discipline) for a long period. I’m in TWO Hall of Fame’s. Yes on EARTH! And would you believe that my style of play won’t hold up to the young guns on tour now? It’s one simple word, evolution! My goodness your argument is old move onto a new topic or run us off. I don’t think you’re a bad guy or have bad intentions but you’re hammering a rusty nail. Move the f on!

  2. This guy is a cry baby you make no sense whatsoever. Ben Millikan schooled you with facts that you can’t deny. Suck it up bro. FFS is here to stay. If you don’t understand it you’re gonna get left in the dust.

  3. Great content buddy hey by the way ignore Garmin guru bud don’t give that guy time of day he needs watch hours not you keep it up GG in it for equipment and what he can get I mean he says I need a boat sponsor just saying he says that a lot you do your thing it’s great love the exposer your getting

  4. The dude might be a great bass angler, but best fisherman in the world? I gotta say no. Stu Apt, Lefty, and the other guys who started in ponds and ended up catching marlin and tarpon on flies are the greatest in my opinion. Flip Pallot is another one of them. Stu had a couple hundred IGFA records as I remember. I met him and had a chance to chat a little at the Fort Lauderdale boat show. Vic Dunaway and Charlie Waterman were incredible anglers too. All of them could catch fish on 2 lb test, and on flies or trolling or deep jigging, whatever. And they were/are great bass guys too. Roland Martin is a very accomplished angler who catches all kinds of fish but always returns to bass. That guy catches cobia and snook and other big hard fighters. To me those well rounded folks who do travel to the ends of the earth to try to catch a fish are the best.
Randy I'd love to take you to fish for flounder and stuff around the Chesapeake. I bet you'd be really good at jigging up flounder, and you'd like the challenge.

  5. Randy … why is there not more fish hatcheries that can replenish lakes that need that sort of help? I’m sure you know Athens Texas is home to one of the leading hatcheries in the south. It would be great to spend some pod time to promote that type of work they do there with regards to what you speak of often! My Dad was part of an effort to duplicate what they do in Athens up on or near lake Cooper. The group lobbied the state legislature and came very close to success with funding. Think 9/11 in part hurt funding and unfortunately never had the push to try again. It just makes sense tome that tournaments should have more of a requirement to replenish … just like cutting down a forest and replanting in more access! Just a thought!

  6. YES. I TOTALY AGREE AGAIN WITH YOU RANDY! BECAUSE AS WE BOTH KNOW, THATS WHERE THE WIN'S WERE IF A GUY WAS THAT ROUNDED WITH THOSE BAITS! AND WHEN GUYS LIKE HIM, WILL ALL……TELL YOU THE SAME THING, YOU HAD BEST TAKE THAT TO HEART AND LISTEN. THAT SHURE WILL TAKE ALOTA CONFIDENCE, RIGHT OUTA YOUR SAILES, AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THEIR IS SOMETHING VERY VERY WRONG WHEN YOU HEAR THAT SAME THING FROM SOME VERY VERY SALTY FISHERMEN. MABY BEN MILLICAN WILL OPEN HIS EARS! IF HE'S THE FISHERMAN HE BELEIVES HE IS, HE SHOULD BE ALL EYES AND EARS HERE, FOR INSTANCE!! AS WELL AS ALL FISHERMAN!! STATICICS ARE PROVEN, JUST NUMBERD THEORY!! 50 YEARS OF EXPERIANCE, MAKES A PROVEN FACT!!! I FELT YA RANDY, IV'E BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT TOO MY MAN. SO. ILL. 😎

  7. You convinced me… I'm going to buy FFS then get a boat to put it on. I'm ready to catch some fish. Human nature is to resist change. History has shown us over and over… you either adapt to change or are left behind. Randy, get on board… this is far from the end, it's a beginning. Love ya bro and all you do for the sport! You truly are one of my childhood heroes from the Bassmaster Tournaments I grew up watching.

  8. The lakes are getting old. As a lake ages its capabilities in turning out giant bass is diminished. Look at falcon lake. When it was younger it turned out ridiculous bags, even though there were bass tournaments on it since the first ramp was completed.

  9. Some you guys are just letting FFS get in your heads. I don't have it, and actually turn my sonar off completely half the time….. still taking people money in tournaments. How about stop crying and realize that FFS has made power fishing better cause everyone is staring at the their screens now.

  10. Need ro STOP having bass tournamemts in spawn and summer time.. the summer is the worst though those bass Are steressed out in A live well all day and they dont make it ..thats hurts bass fishing nore than anything having tournaments 2 and 3 times a week on some of these lakes during the summer

  11. An earlier comment mentioned how catch and release has dropped substantially since the 'rona hit. In my area of Florida, which is mainly smaller lakes, this is noticeably true. My buddy's (who is a strict catch and releaser, like myself) father in law is a prime example. He goes out nearly every day, and every bass he catches ends up in the freezer, whether it's a pound and a half, or 8 pounds.
Another problem here is that, it's not bad enough that nearly every decent size lake is surrounded by houses, or in the process of being surrounded by housing developments. The people in those houses bitch and moan to the County and State about the ugly weeds blocking their waterfront, so spraying is almost non-stop.

  12. In 1985 I fished in the Crystal River in Florida with Keith Austin a local guide . We ended up catching 10 bass that weighed over a 100 lbs bed fishing in the phosphate pits . Don't think I will ever experience anything close to that ever again .

  13. Not to put old people down by any means, and I'm not young, just a little younger than Randy. Most seniors always say things aren't the way they used to be when they were younger. That's because they're not. Life changes every day, Randy. Driving's not the same as it was when I was younger. Shopping's not the same as it was when I was younger. That neighborhood is not the way that it was when I was younger. Fishing is not the way it was when I was younger, and the world is not the same when I was younger. People, this guy has no idea what he's talking about. Everything is opinions. There's a reason why he won't talk about the facts because they'll slap him in the face. This guy is a hypocrite, I know when I was raised. I was always told never trusted hypocrite. They always talk out both side of their mouth, and that's what Randy does. He rips on other YouTube channels, saying they sound like a commercial for their sponsors. He did this to Tactical Bassin year or so ago when he did his series on, what I call criticizing YouTube channels. Randy said Tactical Bassin and sounds like a commercial for Is tackle warehouse. Randy, you sound like a commercial for Tackle warehouse. Listen people. It's no skin off of my back if you want to listen to this guy who does not know what he's talking about, everything is about opinion's no facts. Go right ahead, Tactical Bassin is in the top 3 fishing YouTube channels out there. Randy could learn a lot by watching some of TB videos. And maybe he'll stop alienating half of his subscribers and teach Some fishing techniques I shouldn't have to go to another channel yours to do that.

  14. Yup…and if you think it's bad now…just wait. We have yet to even REMOTELY see the worst of it, Randy. Every time you mention FFS, one of these punks will add another monitor screen to their technology-ridden, boat, and show it off on their YouTube channel (where they call themselves "pros"). Evern time you mention catch and release, they'll add 3 more bass into their live-well, that don't weigh so much as a pound. Their middle-fingers are in the air 24hrs a day, and most of them have their own YouTube channel, or Instagram account. We're very, very close to the day when fishing is going to be the very LEAST of your our worries. To a lot of Americans, they're already at that place. You combine what's now 2 generations of CHESP's (see definition below) with the sewage who refuse to honor ANY laws, never-mind catch and release (which is a law specifically made to be broken to these losers), and it destroys EVERYTHING in its path…fishing, or otherwise, and they have at least half the federal gov't behind them, on top of it, which summarizes my entire point. And, a lot of these people aren't here legally….which is a topic unto itself. These are the sample stupid, entitled, losers who will deface a multi-million-dollar, centuries-old, piece of art to show you what a passionate "environmentalist' they are. Their hypocrisy is as bone-deep as their entitlement, and co-dependence.

We're dealing with a degenerate generation (or two, at this point) of shameless, losers who have a laziness, and lack of self-respect, SO BONE-F^^KING DEEP, they need to use technology originally developed for pregnant women's uteruses, because they're not ABOUT to make a few extra casts, and figure out a given body of water (that takes work…and effort to these losers is an intolerable inconvenience). Not sorry.

You combine that issue with all the rednecks who will catch/keep anything with a fin, and you get the wake of destruction we're seeing today. If only a YouTube channel, on a shamelessly, left-wing platform, could solve that problem. Ohhhh….the ironies. Btw, as a side-note, as much as I deeply respect you as a veteran of the sport, I also don't mind calling you out over why a jerkbait costs $25 (which is almost as disgusting as Live Sonar). Not once have I heard you bring up that inconvenient truth, never-mind criticize it. Perhaps you have something to gain from that, Randy? But, I digress… I never thought I'd see literally every major Ivy league school (Harvard, Cornell, Yale, etc…) promote/support a level of hatred, and antisemitism that has its students carrying signs that say "Gas the Jews!". Think that's unrelated to fishing????? It's EXACTLY the same mindset, just a different environment, my friend. And, btw….those are the "smart ones"! Your (and my) kids are growing up in that education system, Randy, unless you're fortunate enough to be able to homeschool. But, even then, we've still got to interact with that sludge when we venture out into society. That should keep you up at night. 60million people died getting rid of that ideology less than two generations ago (some are still alive)…yet, here we are.

This, unfortunately, won't end until we experience a level of destruction in this country that will FAR exceed any concern you have about fishing, my friend. I guess that's one way to resolve the "what happened to our fisheries" woes. I hope you're preparing yourself, and your family for when that day finally arrives. Because, it's going to land on all of our doorsteps, whether we're ready for it, or not. I know I've posted similar "novels", "rants" (call it what you want), but the message becomes more relevant with each passing day, unfortunately.

  15. Randy, I’m glad Terry got to fish in an era where he could hone his great skills try to imagine another someone who has a great gift like his and fishing in today’s lakes, the bass fishing world will never find another Terry, Roland, Rick, etc. Sad so sad

  16. Its tough when someone thinks or realizes that something they once knew and excelled at seems to have changed in a way that makes them feel that they can no longer succeed at. Just another horrible tragedy that technology has created. It's not all to blame just on forward facing sonar either. Technology started ruining our world as soon as the internet was created. It's created great opportunities for all of us, but has also created disaster for alot of others. Think that Identity theft would never have become a major crime like it is today, and sadly it's also allowed child porn and other disgusting crimes to flourish. That's what technology does and will continue to do as long as they get people hooked on it's uses. Forward Facing Sonar has help many people be successful on the water and just like the internet it has created disaster for some tournament fisherman and others just like your friend. Technology has no limits and it will destroy things as long as it continues

  17. so here we go again. "im not going to make this about FFS" and down the rabbit hole you go. It couldnt have anything to do with more tournaments, more people harvesting, fish mortality (gasp), or the massive increase in houses being built on lakes, more boats, more of everything. The lakes have changed, you are right about that but it is not solely FFS like you constantly proclaim. I agreed with you until about 5:30 until you started your FFS diatribe again. I love the conservation aspect, but come on it is not just FFS.
