Every Bait is better with bacon on it! 🥓
That sounds like a lot of hard work. All that learned knowledge in order to figure out what bait to fish with. Nowadays people just hook up $50k of forward facing sonar and catch huge bags of fish. NO need to have learned how to fish or what kind of bait and when to use it like Davy did back in the day. Isn't forward facing sonar wonderful? I'm glad Bassmaster has shown the world the new path. No fishing knowledge needed.
Why would anyone want to waste time learning how to fish like Davy had to back during his classic run? It must of been boring to watch guys NOT staring at 6 monitors all day. I don't know how people could watch.
I think it was Ike that said he didn't use the bacon.
I’d love to see the Classic won this year on the Ol’ Flying Lure! Or a Banjo Minnow. An all “As Seen on TV” Classic would be awesome!

After Davy won I went and bought some Bacon Rind… I still have a couple in a bag labeled 1999 Classic.
