  1. Well, now I feel better about myself. For the past five years pitching/flipping has been my favorite way of fishing. I almost never see anyone else using this method at my lakes. I thought I might be the dummy.

  2. I’m 65, I’ll never own a bass boat. One week a year I rent a cabin near a lake where I fish out of a 12 foot boat with a trolling motor on the transom. No casting deck, just the aluminum benches. Outside of that week I’m exclusively a bank angler. Am I wasting my time trying to learn how to pitch and flip? I love the beauty of it (when someone good does it) the accuracy and the silent entry. Being a bank angler, I never have to worry about boat positioning! But I’m starting to wonder if I should be spending time learning something that seems to be best done from the bow of a bass boat. Any advice?

  3. It's so complex, casting angles, fish position, art of pitching, perfect angles of presentation. Wow, how could someone as stupid as me catch dozens of limits every year since I was 10 years old and paddling my aluminum boat. And now my records show I still average 7 keepers every day I pitch???

  4. When I was a young kid, I bought my first Fenwick flipping stick from Big 5 sporting goods after reading an article on Dee Thomas. Approximately, 15 years later, I was introduced to and met the legend himself. Also, won some team and club tournaments flipping. Exciting times. Good memories.

  5. “almost like fly fishing” perfect way to put it makes bass fishing more artistic and functional for sure than the way it is generally regarded by scopers and bucket brigadiers

i just wish i could consistently recall which one is pitching and which one is flipping

  6. Think about the time it took every bass fisherman to get good at it , and now this does not matter anymore , guys can get in a boat troll around see the bass in any water level and cast to it watch the bait get in front of the fish watch the bass eat it and ur able to aggravate it with different presentations and baits till it bites and watch it bite then set the hook watching it totally on a screen and y’all call this bass fishing , looking down at a screen is not how fishing was meant to be , you guys are not bass fisherman , not bass masters , not a hammer , you guys are screen fisherman only , next we will be casting into a screen cause this is now the new norm well I say BS

  7. I totally agree with you , and pitching and flipping used to be the way to get you in the money also , and for this new Generation to change this with this cheating technology is so wrong in so many ways , bass fisherman that use Live Scope to me are not real bass fisherman , you guys that have it and need it are very sad with having to use this you are cheating yourself , you are not fishing u are playing a video game only , and it’s truely sad
