When it comes to lure selection for fall bass fishing, you really want to look at fall as three main phases. Early Fall, Mid Fall and late Fall. During each of these phases the bass are going to act a little bit different, so throwing different lures is a must.
In this video I break down not only the best fall bass lures to use, but I also talk about the areas that I like to target during fall!

Your face is remarkably symmetrical
Love the video!
On the other video you said to use a lighter jig in colder denser water in late fall ? Could explain the difference between these videos and why you use a heavier one now?
Hi Mister Ty. I’m here in San Antonio, TX, and am just getting into freshwater fishing. I’m a bank fisherman, what with all the ponds in and around San Antonio, and want to know what you think the best lures would be for my case?
Do you ever fish the east ohio region like salt fork, Seneca ect.?
I’ve also used all of these lures with no luck of catching bass… same colors and everything.
I always have a jig ( mimicking forage) on a pole regardless. Just incase they are striking, bumping or swiping but not fully committing. That jig seems to work almost every time I switch over after a strike/bump… They seem to take the jig , and take it easily.
Great info , and another great video.
I'm using most of these baits… Except a deep diver, as I am mostly river fishing & the river isnt high enough…
Now if I had a boat I could easily find deeper water further upstream or further downstream past the city.
Everyone talks about the fall frenzy I don’t see it where I fish fished in coves n didn’t do to good
Great information, not sure what I'd be fishing with if it wasn't for these videos.
Man you are quickly becoming my favorite fishing content creator. Consistent uploads, full of info, and straight to the point
Thanks for taking the time to give tips I’ve been trout fishing my whole life and when it comes to trout I can wear them out all year. But I just recently moved to Central Arkansas where it is mostly warm water fishing so I took up bass fishing and I quickly realized that they are two completely different monsters. Although I got pretty good summer fishing the water is finally starting to cool down and now the baits I have been using all summer are no longer as effective as they were a month ago so I definitely appreciate the tips Ty
Here in Montana there are a few ponds that I fish that hold smallmouth bass. That being said is snows in November. Should I just jump to “late fall” fishing techniques ???
Right on point!
My favorite season to fish is all of em if the seasons were all the same it would be monotonous
Love it that we have an Ohioan point of view finally. And bro you hit it on the head with the buzz bait! Where I'm fishing once you see minnows poppin on the surface in the fall I pick up a buzz bait and more often than not it will turn a tough day into a great day. Fall to me means jig and a buzz bait!!
I love this channel because of the visuals, the way that you edit it to make it easy to see what your talking about makes it easier to understand
Question: so its The brginning of October. I live in Illinois. If I throw a green frog, will it or will it not work for Bass or will I need a white or white horn frog for my lure?
Any tips for fall fishing at night ??
Great video! What about pearl or smoking shad flukes? Would flukes work in lakes with shad in the fall? Thanks
This is right on time….good work brother….going thur and I'm looking forward to less pressure and cooler weather.
Later in the South early fall is October here in La.
