Winter fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass on Lake Belton in December. I show what baits and lures I used to catch fish in cold weather in Texas. Tips on the spots I fished and the type of structure and depths I was looking for. A short how to on lure presentation and retreival.

Fishing for largemouth and Smallmouth bass in the Winter in December, January, and February can be tough. The fish group up more during the cold months and are less active as they try to conserve energy. The good part is that you can catch a lot of these bass in these groups once they are located. I find that a slower retreive with lures is very helpful in improving your success in catching these bass. Jigs, finese, and jerk baits are great this time of year.
