Its early fall and I am out here bass fishing with Texas rigged drop shot baits and small craws. Just because other people like to drop shot small plastics, thats no reason not to try something else, like texas rigging them. I start out with a Yum soft plastic bait and manage to catch one after missing a couple of bites. After that I switch to a small soft plastic craw and catch a couple more. If you really want to learn how to fish, you must experiment! There is nothing wrong with Texas Rigging small lures like drop shot baits and small craws. You night even catch a few more bass this fall.

While that tongue patch is an indication of a spotted bass, it isn’t always there, and some largemouth have the tongue patch. The best way to tell a spot from a largemouth is the jaw and dorsal fin. The jaw on a spot will never go past the eyeball, while it extends past the eye on a largemouth. Also, the dorsal fins are connected on a spotted bass, while they are separate on a largemouth.

Those swimmin’ dingers make great chatterbait trailers. Don’t store those Z-man baits next to normal plastic. They’ll react with them and it will all turn to goop.

I have been having tons of luck with Rapala shallow runners. Caught my biggest bass at 4lbs yesterday.
Those cabin creek baby craws are amazing trailers for small finesse jigs like the z-man shroomz jig. Also the biwaa 3in warax is another amazing small craw
The end of boat ramps can be pretty productive sometimes and not just for bass! I've caught a lot of nice redfish from em also! Nice video Alex!
