Texas Bass Fishing: Map the First Break for November Bass

Map Monday finds the November staging fish. Lake Fork is at 397.90 feet — 5.10 feet below full pool — with water in the mid to upper sixties, the main lake stained after turnover and many creeks clear. Bass are not in the creek backs and not in their winter holes yet: they are staging on the first break, the first real drop where a flat falls into the creek channel. This video shows how to spot that break where contour lines pinch tight, the staging-point rule (only points the creek channel swings in close to), the low-water correction for a lake five feet down, and the exact bait system for the break — a 3/4 oz Carolina rig with a 6-inch green pumpkin lizard dragged slow, a 1/2 oz chrome/blue-back lipless in Monday’s pre-front south wind, and a 3/4 oz green pumpkin football jig behind the front on Tuesday.

Daily Scripture — Proverbs 16:9: “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
