We Went Looking for WALLEYE… But Got Something Even BETTER!

Fall fishing at Pueblo Reservoir in Southern Colorado kicked off with an unexpected surprise!

We headed out on the water targeting walleye, but the fish had other plans! Instead, we hooked into a surprise wiper (hybrid striped bass) and some beautiful smallmouth bass, turning an ordinary fishing trip into an epic start to the fall fishing season!

There’s nothing quite like the excitement of fishing Pueblo Reservoir, where you never know what’s going to hit your lure next. From the hard-fighting wiper to the aggressive smallmouth bass, this trip delivered the kind of action that keeps us coming back for more!
