In the midst of the summer, I give up throwing hard baits and my focus shifts to large soft plastics if I want to target the bigger bass in my lakes. Any of the working class zero soft swimbaits do the trick, and I utilize larger slow moving worms/creature baits if I am dragging deep areas. Had a lot of rain recently, which equated to rising lake levels, coupled with a windy evening increased my odds of the big ones being diurnally active. Only got a couple bites this evening, but they were the ones that count.

Some good chunks for sure, got to love catching them on the Turd bait. Try super gluing that entire harness in the WCZ, it helps keep it together longer
hell yeah man ! those gar look really cool too but those were some real nice ones
