Hello everyone and thank you for checking out the video. Today we feature the young angler from Winter Haven, FL, Tanner the Hammer White. Tanner is one of those there Scopers. He kind of reminds me of another young angler from around here who fishes the MFL Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit, Aaron Yavorsky. #scopegoat.

I was lucky enough to have Tanner White fish with me in the Xtreme Bass Series Central Florida Division stop #8 on the North Chain of Lakes. Going into the tournament I was sitting in 4th place and I figured with a strong showing I might could move up to 3rd place in the points standing. And if I could win it I would be the only 3 time winner in our division. Mr Yavorsky and Chuck Gomez have won 2, and Carlos and I won 2 before he changed partners. We both are ok with the move. He fished with Mike before me. I wish them the best of luck.

The plan was to help Tanner get 3 fish in the live well and then let him do his thing. We caught 3 dinkers in the first hour and then Tanner the Hammer White went to town. I missed netting 2 of his fish that would have given him 17 or 18 pounds with just 3 fish. The tournament was a 3 fish limit. We ended up with 14.91 pounds even with me missing netting 2 – 5 pounders. In the video you will see the 3rd nice fish he caught was bleeding and unfortunately it did not make it and we did not catch anything bigger before it died. When it dies you cannot cull it.

We ended up finishing in 2nd place. Again, we had 14.91 lbs but lost a half a pound for the dead fish, so we ended up with 14.41 lbs. Cameron and Calvin finished in first with 14.47 lbs. What is that 6/10th of an ounce?

Congratulations to Tanner the Hammer White. I know I was a part of the team in theory, but Tanner was the star of the day. Out of 21 boats, he caught the most weight. But the dead fish and my netting skills cost us the win. It was impressive to watch Tanner work. I will not lie, I shed a few tears in my truck because I let him down. It hurt me more than him. I hate to be the one to cost us a tournament and he worked so hard.
