Video 4: Tactics & Targets – Chasing Big Fish on the Susquehanna (Part 4 of 4)

This video wraps up the final episode of my 4 Part Fishing series exploring the incredible fishing opportunities on the Susquehanna River, created in partnership with the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau to showcase just how special this fishery really is.

In this episode, I focus on tactics and strategy for targeting some of the river’s most prized game fish. The Susquehanna is known for its incredible smallmouth bass fishery, but it also holds trophy catfish, muskellunge, and more. I break down how seasonal patterns, water conditions, and lure or bait selection can impact success when chasing big fish on this amazing river system.

For this episode, I teamed up with local expert Steve Lowe from Southside Bait & Tackle in Sunbury, PA for a guided charter trip. Steve shares valuable local knowledge, gear recommendations, and insight into how anglers can adjust their approach to improve their chances on the Susquehanna. I also stopped by Southside Bait & Tackle to highlight one of the region’s go to shops for fishing supplies, reports, and expert advice, you can check out that section in the Part 3 Episode!

The Susquehanna River continues to be one of my favorite places to fish because of its diversity, scenery, and opportunities for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you’re a local or planning a fishing trip to Central Pennsylvania, this river has something special to offer.

Thanks for following along with this series and supporting Anglers Anchor. If you enjoyed the video, make sure to like, comment, and subscribe for more fishing adventures and tips from the water.
