Swimbait bass fishing with Chad hoover and Flukemaster- Bienville plantation Pt-2

Bienville plantation Pt-2 – Kayak Swimbait bass fishing with Chad hoover of kayakbassinTV and Flukemaster. I made it to the first kayak bass fishing seminar at Bienville Plantation. Day 1 on the water was a tough one. A cold front had moved through night before and with over night lows in the low 40’s these florida strained bass were shut down. I tied on the Wooden swimbaits mag 175 rat, a Deps 250 in Bass pattern, 10″ Megabass Magdraft in Ayu, 7.5″ Rago baits weedless hot hitch, and the 11″ Rago baits weightless Alpha trout and went to work. After a long day of marking spots on my lowrance we finally called it quits at sundown then headed in for dinner and seminar’s with Chad Hoover and Gene Jensen “Flukemaster” It was a long and tough day but i had a blast fishing with Chad and Gene. Stay tuned for day 2 on the water when I finally hook up with my first swimbait bass on Bienville. Thanks for watching. -James

  1. Hey man, just subscribed to your channel…. Love the videos you put out, I have yet to find another big bait channel that's so informative… I got a question for you….. I live in SoCal and have been fishing big swims for a while now, but I go to school in North Dakota. I found that ND pike love my smaller swim baits, thus I got a irod JR swim… Long story short, I need a cheap reel that will handle baits in the 2oz range…. I trying to stay away for round reels (just because they're so ugly on irods)…. I'm personally a shimano guy, but a daiwa Zillion has caught my eye….. Do you think the internals of that reel will hold up to smaller baits?

  2. I am so glad to see a real fishing kayak, Hobie, Awesome

Wow, 60 small ponds, Chad Loves to fish stocked ponds,

Do me a favor tell Gene ( fluke master) to go back and start using his Hobie again, I understand that most people can not afford a hobie, but if you got a hobie why use anything else?

  3. Awesome thank you for your opinion. I was also wondering what rod you could recommend for me. I fish mostly from shore, I prefer an 8' rod. I'm looking for an "all around" rod that can throw my swimbaits/glide baits as well as top water lures that range from 1.5oz all the way up to 5oz. I currently own a shimano crucial 7'11" that is rated for 3" – 8" swimbaits. But the rod feels a bit labored casting 8" swimbaits that only weigh 3.5oz. I'm looking at the dobyns swimbait rods but there ratings seem a bit blown out of proportion so I'm not sure which one to go with… . Also looking at the 13 muse swimbait rods, but the low down custom rods seem really nice. Especially the heavy rod rated for 1-7oz. Only down side is the price tag. Your input would be most appreciated. Thanks again and keep up the good work man

  4. Does anybody know what size underspin hook was he using for the rago? Im making a trip to lake baccarac in a couple months and want to fish something similar to that size and profile.

  5. Awesome channel man!, I'm a new subscriber and am loving these videos. I have a quick ? If you have the time to give me your opinion I'd appreciate it… I'm a stripper fisherman and am getting into bigger baits. Swimbaits, mag top water and glide baits. My old curado 300 reel took a dump on me after about 10years of brackish water use. I'm looking at the 13fishing A3 , the abu Garcia Revo toro beast 300 or the Lexa. What would you recommend? ?? I'm leaning toward the 13 fishing A3 only because I have their concept c reel which I love. I see you've been testing the 13 fishing A3. How's it holding up? Good luck with the fishing and keep up,the good work man.
