Summer Transition Bass Fishing in Minnesota – Tackle Tuesday #19 – My favorite lures for summer

Hey Folks!

Here are a few, by no means all, of my favorite lures for the summer season here in Minnesota. When the water temps start to rise, I find myself throwing loads of different soft plastics, so the googan slim shake 8″ worm, and the yamatunki have been some of my go-tos over the past few years.

The swimbait bite can get a little tough come the summer months, but the Throwback Baits Cheat Code solves that problem for me! This bait just gets BIT, any time of the year, any time of the day. Such a fun lure to throw, and can for sure draw out some of those bigger reaction strikes.

Thanks as always!

  1. I can say that I've used a lot of different lures for largemouth and the one that catches more fish than any other for me has been the 5" Senko texas rigged with a small bullet weight. Anywhere and anytime.
