Summer Largemouth Bass Fishing in Washington Part 2

This is my final summer fishing trip. I am meeting my son, Preston, for 3 days of fishing. Our primary mission is to find some 4 to 5 pound Largemouth Bass. Smallmouth are common some years in this lake depending on water temperature. This lake is one of my favorite lakes in Washington state to fish. I raised my kids on this lake for several years and in most years we are able to meet back here and chase the bass around for a couple days.

We are fishing weed line and lily pad patches in water that is from 1 foot to 6 feet deep. Using soft bait rigged weedless and casting back into heavy cover, along the weed line edges and out in deeper water. We will mostly catch and release however I always like to keep on nice Largemouth for dinner.

I always love seeing my son hook into a big fish and sharing the experience of fighting in one of the strongest freshwater fish I have caught. I will be at the lake a day before Preston arrives and have time to scout the lake a bit in hopes of increasing success while fishing with Preston.
