Summer Bass Fishing | Minnesota | Ep. 5

Whoooweee with the 4 hrs we got on the lake, we sure made it worth it! Started off being the 1st boat out on the lake this morning, and the topwater bite was on 🔥🔥🔥. So glad I didn’t lose any of them from the thick vegetation I had to pull them out of. Faster twitches and retrieve really helped me get those Bass from heavier cover to blow up!

Went half way around the lake and decided to turn back and start fishing a little bit more off shore around 9-11ft. Tied on my Black and Blue Jig from Eurotackle laced with some craw plastic and they chomped on it! It was definitely a good bite slowly bouncing the jig on the bottom back to the boat with slight pauses in between really triggered them to hit.

Liveacope was a good tool for today for the deeper fishing we did.

I also noticed that weighing my 5 fish on the Bubba Pro Smart Scale, each time I catch a fish heavier then the lightest, it automatically selects that saved weight and you simply press a button to register the fish. For easy culling of course!

Next time I’ll fish deeper and hopefully we can catch that new PB!
