Hey there folks! In this bass fishing VLOG I head to central Nebraska to fish with some high school buddies of mine. We started off fishing a lake called Elwood Reservoir near Lexington, NE. Unfortunately the water was super high and stained making it difficult to locate the fish. We got off the lake around 9am (mainly because we were out of gas) and headed to a small lake or pond (whatever you prefer) that we have never been to before. We started off by fishing reaction style lures. Spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, frogs, chatterbaits, etc.. with no success. After a quick lunch break we decided to try fishing deeper, casting our texas rigged stick baits on the edges of the weedlines in 7-10ft of water. We got bit almost right away. After fishing around the lake about 3 or 4 times and boating over a dozen bass we couldn’t take the heat any longer and headed back to the cabin. Overall it was a great day out on the water even tho we couldn’t key in on a solid topwater bite in the morning.
