If you want to STOP wasting so many worms wacky rigging watch this video! Today I teach about a new system for wacky rigging worms from VMC that allows you to fish practically any kind of soft plastic worm without ever rigging it with a hook. It also avoids some of the mistakes anglers make when using O rings.

You dude! When you're done with the worm, why cant you just cut it in half and reuse the cross-over ring?
I’m a big fan of these rings they are amazing and because of them I don’t feel bad buying a more expensive senko anymore because they are truly on there, plus if you lose the worm you can still get the band back MOST of the time. personally I love the 5mm size because I can use a smaller worm too and still have it fit a fatty senko but you’re right I do have to be gentle with the band and the worm to make it work. Still money we’ll spent.
Been using the crossover rings for awhile. Much better than a normal ring. I get them from TW.
Time you buy all that crap, it would be cheaper to buy a new bag of worms. Lol
I love the new system but the cost is ridiculous. VMC needs to put out bigger packages. 10 for $5 is expensive.
Orings are cool and they do work but it's probably cheaper to buy more worms then to buy a few packs of vmc orings. I'm assuming it's $5 for 3-5 orings??
Mikey you spoil us. Great job as always. Thanks for sharing.
Boing to be in babson park next week. Where doI in needed to fish?
Hey Mike thanks for the great video I like it's I don't use o rings because the hook is positioned the wrong way and you lose fish. God bless you and your family and my buddy bog's. Ps bog's is my favorite u tube dog I hope he is happy and healthy.
Excellent products. So relieved the products are available.
Thanks for that. Showed me something else to do.
Cool, thanks! I caught my first double digit yesterday on a wacky
I use 7mm surgical tubing I cut to size and needle nose to open the tubing up.
best thing ever. Easy, quick, and catches fish.
I have not yet heard or seen this technique. Thanks for sharing
I’m trying this tomorrow at lake fork
What size are you using with those BKK hooks?
2nd year using this great product thanks mike for sharing
They are good for 15-20 casts and then they fly off that has been my experience
Arsenal fishing has had this exact wacky rig tool for a few years now along with the o rings
By the way… it’s may 5th
Happy “SENKO” de mayo Mikey!
Lots of great info! Hook placement is key! Another great way of rigging correctly that is way cheaper is tape! Electrical tape works well, other types also work. Keeps the worm going for a very long time!
You don’t need the tool to move it on and off if you use some liquid scent (bait fuel) or good old spit.
My mail just delivered mine today, ordered them a few days ago. These are awesome for neko rigs too
I actually use mustard orings. They have a small circle made into it so you can rig it vertical. Same style as the vmc but much cheaper and easier to use
Take my money…good video…just made the wacky rig a bigger part of my fishing…I'll be getting these…
Wouldn't a normal wacky tube tool work better than those pliers to put the crossover on?
Mike great video. I have used those for 1.5yrs now. I have a neko rig tied on 12 months a year. The xzone deception worm works great on Lake Lanier rigged up like this. The wacky rig set up with a Yamamoto bait, for me, works great with a 5mm cross over. It has definitely changed the game for these two set ups. Always a pleasure watching your videos. Fyi, that looked like Lanier water in your video. Lol
When you hook it horizontal, stick a nail weight in the fat end and
Voila you have a Neko!
I’ll save y’all some money. Use a Zman Zinkerz (stick bait) and hook it in the very outer surface of the worm and once you see the hook point come out go back in one more time so you are actually piercing it twice. It hangs just like your presentation and I never have them come off. The elaztech keeps it on the hook like that.
👍👍👍👍👍
Been using these for a year and they're great the horizontal rigging is for neko rigged applications.
The VMC rig is awesome…definitely saves you money on baits. Can you do a video on which baits give you the best falling action.
Bareback 🤣🤣🤣
Man rig that wacky with a Trokar Ned hook 👌 weedless or not.
I love the rings with the cross holes!! Found a few months ago.. I haven’t lost a fish and save my plastic worms means I save money that way!!
I love fishing a wacky! But I always rig them side saddle, ring or not. I do like how you get a bit of weed resistance that way and I feel like I skip better from that angle. But maybe that's just me.
I use shrink tubing and just skin hook the shrink tube, hook never pulls out.
I use heat shrink😉
Swwwwweeeet. Thx for spreadin this word, Bra!
Yep, been using these all of last year, best thing to come along for wacky rigging since the seedless wacky hook
I use a piece of heat shrink tubing. Works for me and I can get a few fish on one worm before needing to replace. I pre rig my worms before hand.
I almost bought these pliers and the bands, but it was going to be over $40 for everything. I got o rings and 30 packs of BSP Stick O worms instead 😂 Maybe, one day, but I'm just fishing for fun. I can cross two o rings together to make an X and not have to hook the bait. It's been working for years and the o rings are cheap AF.
Expensive , cheaper to use two o rings. Thanks Mikey
Oh boy. You are slow to the draw on this one. I’ve been using that for sometime now. By the way you are right. It works great.
Great video brother, I love the idea of it but I’m just to damn impatient 😂! Give the Bog dog a what’s up for me🎣
The Wnecko band
🔥🔥And this is why we keep coming back to Mikey’s Channel, absolutely brilliant ❤
All the "pros" say that way is horrible.
Hey Bog!
Mikey…my recent go-to is the MaxScent General wacky using a weedless VMC hook and an Oring.
They munch it. Every lake…every trip.
