On the final day, Carl gave the spinnerbait a go, nothing to lose! He was throwing an Australian spinnerbait, based a lot off the subtle Japanese tackle. He glued on a swimbait/fluke and skipped the spinnerbait under the docks where Aaron Martens was not getting his lure. He slow rolled the spinnerbait and a big fish eats it, but when the fish jumps, he lost it. There’s no bad luck about losing those fish. Carl was using the wrong rod to get good hook penetration. Always be learning and paying attention to why you are losing fish.
