Topwater fishing is so much fun! There really is NOTHING like a big bass exploding on your topwater frog, or chasing down your whopper plopper in a pond next to a laydown log. But one thing that can get confusing is all the different topwater lures that are out there! Which ones work in which scenarios and why?
Three of my favorite topwater lures that I call the “loud lures” are the buzzbait, whopper plopper, and buzz toad. They all make crazy amounts of noise and catch big bass in ponds and lakes, but what’s the difference between them? In this video I compare and contrast these lures in order to help you catch more bass!
