I was just looking at ultra small light reels, to match up with an old and favorite rod of mine.
Its an old Rex Hunt 3 piece power tip.
I bought a JDM Dialuna bait cast home from Japan. Fantastic rod. Handled Mondy Barra perfectly in spring.
I like it so much I’ve started using it when I’m vibing for jewies.
Hey Steve, happy new year to you also. I’m trying to chase down a decent how to on tying fishing knots. I’m the same vintage as yourself but have only ever used the 2 knots my late uncle showed me back when I was a kid. Not sure if you published something at all over the years that I can chase down. You wouldn’t remember me obviously but in the early days whenever you & bushy got together at the fishing shows I was there without fail, great memories…….ive loaned my boxed set of how to use squidgies to my son which I must get back off him sooner than later 😢 take care, love your work and stay safe. Been eyeing the Dialuna since your review, seemed like not many stores ended up stocking it in Aus and the 10 footer was sold out everywhere online. Luckily after this video I done a search and bought the last one at 20% off. Excited to put in some work at my local beach!
