For some reason, i can't catch crap at East Harbor using red. I know it works. I use black/blue that catches fish. I have a red Slobber knocker, KVD 1.5 and and Redeye shad. Nothing. I'll turn my Yamamoto trailer flat next time.

when fishing these on a graphite rod, you guys think a small trailer hook would help to prevent the 'short strike'? or would that just impede action on the trailer
Today I caught my PB 20” Smallmouth on an Original Z Man Chatterbait. 1/2oz black head, gold blade, and a replacement Gold skirt. Another big bass one was trying to take the bait out of the 20”. I went back later and caught that fish on a Redfish Toad Diesel Minnow. It was 18.25”
Tyler! Love the videos as always! Wanted to make a comment based on my own experience. I have found that when I use the Spunk Shad, (so using a senko made complete sense to ME) I have found I get more bites. I have thrown craws, Dbombs, Zako, chatterspikes, flukes ect ect… something about that pin tail (straight style) trailer, allows that bait to REALLY hunt. even more so than other trailers, that are even designed for a chatterbait. Not only does it seem to hunt better, it really responds when I start adding reel snaps into. If I am Yo-Yoing the bait, I will use a craw style. Just my 2 cents!

Ive used vibe tail worms as trailers for a while. In the 5" and the magnum size. Also, a curly tail worm
I went out today to a small pond and caught em good on a chatter bait (NE Ohio)
I wrecked the bass last year in March and caught a pb 7’11 on a black and blue chatterbait with a red yoto worm, I couldn’t believe it, sometimes contrast can be good
Been throwing it for a few weeks now, but I'm not hooking up with anything yet. I'll keep trying it though. I also noticed that if my trailer is too big, it won't chatter much if at all.
All my better fish over the ladt 2 years have been on a chatterbait. Justbstarted throwing it
