Great video & pedagogy, perfect support to teach your kids 😊
I got absolutely every answer about fishing with soft plastics. Thank you ssoo much Alan 🙂
I've checked plenty of measuring rulers from BCF, tackle world, and various other stores with my machinist squares and there all wrong, all wrong in the fisheries favour, I'm talking about squares and straight edge rulers that cost 300 dollars each
I think I need a new rig after watching this one. Up in Minnesota, we very likely will pick up a northern Pike. And they bite the line off, so I am so used to using metal leaders, at least short ones. So I don't lose everything so often. Now I don't mind catching Northern Pike because they're one of my top two eating fish that I love. That is why I have a rather heavy outfit. As I get older, I notice that I'm not as strong. The heavy unit that I've been using gets a little hard after a day of fishing from shore or on docks. I just turned eighty and i'm in very good condition except overweight. Could you give me the exact names of the rod that you used? And a closed real that could go on it for the same type of setup? My fingers are too short for the open Type reels. Also would you add the names of the line that you get both for the main line and for the leader? I really would appreciate that because I don't need to buy another unit that is wrong for me. Thank you so much for the video and God bless you!
You teach all you have.really nice ☺️
Thanks Alan BR
Great video. A light rod is a must. I recently tried an ultralight rod, it is amazing for casting hardly any effort especially when using very light lures of 4 to 6 grams.
U hack first fish had green plastic. Not the orenge u started with
Nice vid
Cheers Noddy…. 🤣🤣
Always remember to wet your knots with saliva before tightening them! Otherwise it can fray or damage the line

Heh. Ahem I'll see myself out.

Step one: pay money for plastic.
Step Two: lose plastic in a river or lake, thus polluting said natural habitat.
Step Three: multiply by one million fisherman in the UK, every year.
We wonder why all humans are contaminated with nano-plastics🙄🙄🙄🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️🎣🎣🎣🐟
Great video. I learned a lot and definitely need to change up my rod and line.
I'm having trouble setting the hook when using soft plastics – any advice on what to do on a bite and when to strike how hard to strike etc?
I've bought a few fish in and then lost them within a metre or so from the shorerocks.

Great explanation, thank you but I hope you wont just leave those lines in the nature.
