I did some smallmouth bass fishing on the river with the ned rig in todays YouTube viDEBO! My buddy Brando was gracious enough to invite me out on his boat to chase these brown bass. The weedless ned rig has quickly become one of my favorite finesse techniques because of its ability to not get snagged (unless you make bad casts). I even had a couple surprise walleye take the ned rig!

The googan rattlin Ned is a good bait but it’s not used right alot of the time. The EWG is the best way to fish it because it falls over a lot and it cant snag.
I use this setup all the time, works well..
Caught a 9lb walleye on a green pumpkin goby TRD this spring it was super fun. 6lb test leader on 8lb braid
Is not too loose your drag ? You can go tighter with 8 lb
The 5 dislikes were from people who got snagged

come on!! dont crank the handle against the drag!! cringe town.. you are getting a ton of twist in your line this way… pump the rod, then crank.. you are a great angler and very experienced/proficient with baitcaster.. but with a spinner.. damn. im sure you dont use'em very often and to not use them that often, you have damn good reels! that fuego lt is money! and that okuma epixor is a fine reel for the money. we use our daiwa LTs for slow pitch jigging in the Yucatan peninsula, i caught a 15# black fin tuna on an exceller lt 4000 on 20# braid at 500 feet deep off the cozumel coast, and a friend of mine caught a 25# jack crevalle in 100ft of water off the isla mujeres coast. on his fuego lt 4000 on also 20 pound braid and a gomoku jigging rod.

Nice multi species day! Unfortunately my fishing is done for the year. The lakes and ponds are freezing over and I am having hip surgery in a few weeks so Ice fishing is more than like not going to happen for me this year. Do you get out on the ice?

Great Video Brother. Have you tried the wacky rig for smallmouth? we use the Yamamoto Baby Bass color wacky rigged. We may be out of luck here as the weather turned drastically on us so not sure how much longer the LMB will remain on the fall bite usually we catch them up to mid November beginning of December. Will be getting after the SMB if that's the case

Hey Debo, just an inquiry. I've had people call 13 fishing stuff the hipster brand of fishing. I personally love my 13 fishing gear. Ever had someone say that to you about 13? I ask cuz I've seen you use some of their stuff.
Also Debo I was wondering if you could do a fall combos video like you did for summer combos. Maybe get into some winter combos for those of us that live in areas where the lakes don’t freeze over.
