What is up everyone! Just fished the last Slay Nation Tournament for the 2023 year. As some of you know, this was my first year fishing solo tournaments as well as the CPR style tournaments (Catch, photo, release). I have had a blast and learned quite a lot. You guys be on the lookout for next year’s tourney’s Started February!
I manage to land a 2nd and 3rd place position, but no wins this year. Hopefully by learning these lakes and the Fl Bass in general, next year I’ll be able to bring home a dub.

Last Tournament of the year for Slay Nation in Central Fl. This was part of the small vessel series that includes kayaks and small jon boats. In this Video, this tournament took place on Lake Reedy located in Central Florida. The lake is known for big bass but also for it’s brown stain. It can be super hard at times to fish but can also be quite the opposite (So I’ve read). Definitely going to be back out here soon for a bit more practice for future “stained” lakes.
In this video, I caught every single fish on a black and red zoom speed craw.
As for the rod and line, I was using a 7’3 medium heavy rod with 15lbs flouro.
