Skunk River Smallmouth Bass Fishing with My Dog (Iowa Wading Adventure)

We tackled a grueling, high-heat summer wade stomp on the Skunk River in Iowa, and it did not disappoint!

The midday heat waves hit 110+ degrees feel like temp, overheating my GoPro and forcing us to take a break. But not before we ran into some awesome Midwest wildlife, screaming hawks, and Luna getting after some deer.

We brought out some backup for the evening wade, and ended up finding some solid river smallmouth and a surprise largemouth.
