In this video, I am at the Giant Goose Ranch in Canton, Illinois!
my pal Noah and I are using chicken livers and lures to catch some of the strongest freshwater fish in the US, the hybrid striped bass!
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING, PLEASE LIKE, COMMENT, AND SUBSCRIBE!!!!
i dont know why you call it cheating if you catch the fish in the mouth its not cheating. id rather fish with live bait or chunks than throw lures all day.
Striped bass out here in California at lake Silverwood tear up the chicken livers! I found that on accident fishing for cats one night, I was shocked!!!
Loved the under water footage! Those were some healthy hybrids.
The electronics set up on that boat is crazy π€ͺ glad you two had a blast! Great video!
More video like this please! Love from Italy
Hybrids are fun-Really close alternative to Redfish in taste. Cooking in the half shell, itβs hard to tellπ€π»π€π»π€π»
I just recently fished a private pond filled with wipers and couldn't catch one on lures. We got em on beef jerky, bread, bratwurst, and chicken breasts. Fun stuff!
Imma try this
could get a bunch with a cast net
Great video guys, thanks
Just wish you fish here all the time!!!
What a great video Ty. So cool to get an opportunity like that π€
Great footage, so cool to see!

Fantastic TY brilliant footage
What a beautiful fish wow
Top notch pal ππΌπ£ππΌ
We used chicken liver more than 30 yrs ago to catch them in Texas, better than shad
Cool man!! Love it
Thanks for the underwater shots. But liver looks so disgusting. Like a rotting corps.
That's how we catch them in Ohio. Their feed in the hatchery contains chicken blood for protein. They don't forget. Girl out at the lake got a 14+ a couple of days ago.
Another great video ty
Hi TY are those any good to eat?
Stripers are white flaky meat from saltwater. Whipers are hybrids of white bass and fresh water stripers?
this is cool and new love it
Hey Ty! it's been awhile that I have seen some strippers
Local lake was stocked with them about 25 years ago. Have heard of a few going 11 -12 pounds. Serious fighters. Lake was over populated with large schools of over-sized shad. Not enough black bass to control their numbers. Some folks fish for them using red worms on the bottom like fishing for catfish. I have also caught them on trotline baited with shad I seined for going after catfish. Their colors are amazing. They are the mule of the fish world. Hybrid vigor. They go on spawning runs but are sterile and cannot reproduce.
Love fishing there
Just be glad you didn't turn those livers into Pate…they would've been asking for crackers and wine as well!! Dig, DmGrk
Great footage bud. Would love to see ya fish for striped bass in new England
EPIC!! β€β€ Looks like soo much fun! Reminds me of catching them below the dam on the Ohio River! Tight lines my brother!
I bring little chunks of raw bloody steak with when ice fishing for walleyes, it works as good or better than minnows or anything else Iβve ever tried. Throw a chunk on a little Swedish pimple or other jig like that and they seem to love it. Used that method at an ice fishing tournament once, nearly won a fish house but got bumped down one spot and ended up winning a microwave π€£
Try a chicken liver fly π
