Shore Fishing Finesse Worms Caught a MONSTER Bass!

We fished a Southeastern Wisconsin inland lake from pre-sunrise through the morning, working swimbaits, crankbaits, and finesse worms from shore—and landed a MONSTER largemouth bass on a shaky worm!

I started the morning solo before sunrise, throwing swimbaits in the dark to target active early-morning fish. Once the sun began to rise, my wife joined me, and we transitioned to Rapala DT-6 crankbaits and Keitech swimbaits to cover water fast, picking up several northern pike and largemouth bass. As the sun climbed and the bite shifted, we switched to wacky worms and shaky heads to slow things down for pressured bank fish.

That strategy paid off big time. At our second spot, a giant Wisconsin largemouth crushed a green pumpkin shaky worm right along the shoreline—easily one of our best finesse-worm bass catches of the season.

In this video, we break down:

– How to approach pre-sunrise shore fishing vs. post-sunrise action
– The exact lures, colors, and rigging setups used throughout the morning
– How to transition from fast crankbaits to slow finesse plastics as the sun comes up
– Key shoreline angles and cover to target when fishing from the bank
