In today’s episode we take you along with us to one of our favorite fishing spots in search for some urban ditch largemouth and spotted bass! While out fishing Jay spotted a beautiful Diamond-backed Water Snake and slid down into the ditch to catch it! Water snakes have notoriously bad tempers so it wasn’t surprising that this one was as feisty as it comes! Jay went all out to make sure she caught the snake but that came with the expense of taking a few bites to the hand. No worries though! This is a non-venomous species and we got her hand all washed up after we finished filming and handling the snake. We do not insist that any of you try to catch wild snakes on your own, this is a hobby and an area that we have studied for a long time and we enjoy catching them to get them close to the camera so you can hopefully learn more about them! Thank you so much for watching! Y’all are the best supporters out there and we couldn’t do what we do without every one of you! Omg! I was freakin out thinking it was venomous. Lol
Ok. I know catching snakes is cool. I've caught a few and it's fun but I'd rather catch fish . I have a question and I hope I get an answer. When you get bit that hard by a snake I know its important to wash it good as soon as possible. Question is. Do you use any medication on the bite and do you have to get any kind of shot occasionally to avoid infection?
I call this why ppl shit
FACT: Jay has had more snakebites than I've had tail this year :/ lol. Great video guys.

Cole and Jay are going to end up like Steve Irwin if they keep making unnecessary risks!!!
i was wondering why she was so chill & happy when a diamondback bit her, then you said it was non poisonous, still she has a very upbeat happy personality.

On the YouTube channel Snake Discovery π the title of the vlog, 8 common reptile myths debunked, Emily explains that the shape of the pupil is an indicator of when they are awake. It's a very interesting vlog. π
It was a banded water snake that bit her none poisoness
In my reality a diamondback is a rattlesnake.
