SHALLOW WATER WINTER BASS (SO MANY BASS)

What a strange winter we are have this year. The lack of snowfall has really opened up great opportunities for fishing in Manitoba. With that we decided to go on the hunt for big Smallmouth Bass. There is a huge stigma behind fishing for winter bass, usually bass dwell in the depths of lake with deep water reef. Being found at 30’-40’ even 50’. Fishing at those depths isn’t safe for Bass, usually leading to death after being caught. Sometime the norm isn’t normal. Sometimes there are different scenarios where fish aren’t were they should be. For example in todays video finding bass in shallow water. Sometimes the fish in one lake act differently then other fish in other lakes. All the bass we found were in no more than 12’ of water, and were all safety released to fight another day.
