Finesse dominates shallow fishing these days in my opinion. They get the MOST pressure of any fish in any lake but under the right conditions I agree.

I'd go lipless over squarebill but agree on the other two. Could also go buzzbait just to have a 12 month topwater presentation in there but the spinnerbait can be bulged/waked for a similar presentation.
More on shallower, natural waters, please. The NW has some reservoirs, but tons of natural lakes.

Next chance I get to go fishing, I will give them a try….sometimes I get tunnel vision and get stuck on one lure for way too long…I need to be more versatile and change lure options often when the lures I use aren't working…
