Bass Fishing on the Mississippi River in Iowa with pro bass fisherman Tom Redington. Lots of largemouth bass are caught in this episode, with top lures being a swim jig, soft plastic jerkbait and topwater frog fishing. Redington fishes the baits around lily pads, shallow grass and weeds, stumps and laydown, plus frogs on duck weed (duck wart) and matted vegetation to catch some big bass in the upper pools of the Mississippi River.
If you like to fish shallow and power fish with big baits and heavy line for largemouth bass, the Mississippi River is a dream spot to fish. No LiveScope needed, just put down your trolling motor and look for the thickest weeds and wood cover with a bit of current and you’ll find bass.
