Nothing beats listening to a good buzzbait bubble across the surface and then having it engulfed by a largemouth bass. Fish buzzbaits early in the morning or late in the evenings. Make sure to use a trailer hook for those short strikes.

I caught a 6lb bass on a pond once, and a guy told me to get back into the same area as fast as possible..i remembered and did it..SHAZAM..CAUGHT A 5.5 LB next cast..he said a female and male pair..STILL TRY that to this day…oh ya..

More power to those who enjoy bass fishing. However, I just don't get it. They don't get very big. Bass don't fight hard, and I don't think they're good to eat either. I'll stick to trout in the mountains, king salmon in the river, bonefish on the flats, and tarpon in the mangroves. There are a lot of things I don't get, so keep on bass fishing.

I find little in life as exciting as a big ol' hog slamming a top water bait…caught a 7 pounder myself at Jordan Lake in NC last Memorial Day (post spawn).
You guys would probably have alot more luck if someone got in there and cleaned out those stumps and limbs in the water. .
Gotta cull through a bunch of little ones to find that one you were looking for. NICE FISH!
