Scott’s big BASS win

I’m so proud of my son Scott. He just won the Lake Okeechobee Bass invitational tournament with a record setting 3 day, 15 bass, 90 plus pounds! He’s his own Boss and has figured out, all by himself several great new patterns and mastered forward facing sonar just about better than anybody. Today I’ll share a few stories about Scott going back a few years!

  1. I’d love to book a charter with you Roland. My 9 year old loves fishing and we’d love to hook some Big-O slobs on native golden shiners. It’s cold up here in Massatwoshits!
Congrats to Scott! What a great angler, son, father, and husband. Much respect to the Martin family. ❤️

  2. No doubt Scott is a hammer by any metric. He doesn't get the notoriety he should because of the organization he first fished with and the legend his father is. Not to take anything away from Scott, but when it come to fishing Lake "O", I can't believe (other than maybe for you) that there is an angler on the planet with more "O" time than Scott. I gotta think that DOES make it a factor.

  3. Roland, great video i know your proud i watched the tournament everyday and the Sunday weigh in, Scott did an excellent job, his passion for fishing has definitely rubbed off on Hillery as well!

  4. Roland, you have no idea how much I enjoy watching you. My grandpa and I watched you back in the 70's all the time. Watching you now reminds me of the great times we had together fishing and watching fishing shows. I enjoy watching Scott also congrats to him. Thanks so much.

  5. Watched Scott and his achievement on Bassmasters Live. So excited for him. I'm Scotts age and I remember as a kid following you every morning on your own Roland Martin fishing show as well as on the Bassmasters, competing with my other fishing heros like Jimmy Houston and Hank Parker and of course my home-state man Denny Brauer here in Mo. I've really enjoyed watching Scott's career progress with his YouTube channel and can't wait to see him win each and every tournament as well as the team of Scott Canterbury and Matt Avery. Right on Pappa Scott's heels is Hillary. I hope she can handle all the pressure that is being placed on her to be successful and doesn't loose the love for fishing. I do pray for her. Hopefully we'll be following her throughout her career like we did you and Scott, and God willing, we see the next Martin generation to come take her place on the circuit! You are a Blessed man Roland! Congratulations in not only your career success, but the success you have with such a great family! Be blessed, know you are blessed, and be a blessing to others! Godspeed.

  6. I love seeing the proud father and you Roland. I have always been a Roland Martin fan and it has absolutely 100% transitioned into a Scott Martin fan. You bought it at my aunt and uncle’s house in Clewiston around 1987-ish or somewhere in in that area and anyways you took me fishing and we caught shiners. I’ll always remember it. God bless the Martin’s.
