Savage Gear Tough Frog Review After Catching BIG Bass in the Everglades
In this video, I put the Savage Gear Tough Frog to the test in the Florida Everglades and give you my honest review after catching several solid largemouth bass on it.
This frog definitely got bit, and I liked a few things about it — especially the hookup ratio with that single-hook design. But after putting it through some real Everglades bass abuse, I also found a few things I didn’t love. So the big question is: would I buy it again?
I’ll cover the good, the bad, and what I think this frog is best suited for after actually fishing it around pads, sparse cover, and Everglades bass habitat.
As a bonus, I also break in a new Dobyns Fury rod and put it to work on some topwater frog fish. Nothing like testing new gear where it matters most — on the water, with real fish.
