Santa Fe Dam Bass Fishing Sept. 16, 2026 #kayakfishing

Quick after work session on Santa Fe Dam. Found them schooling and busting 1inch bait around a big clump of grass. Mainly dinks with a few 1.5 pounders mixed in. They were keyed in on smaller bait. Had 4 hits on the Rebel Pop-R but couldn’t stick any of them. I think it’s the single front hook that made them all miss. Also, couldn’t get any to bite the standard size cranks., everything was on finesse size baits.
