Damn I'm surprised u didnt lose more stuff. Sucks to lose sunglasses but luckily it was only the sunglasses. I know you are probably a great swimmer but maybe a PFD might be a good idea, there are rocks around that area right? Also maybe get another milk crate and bungee cords to make a secure lid or just forget the crate and just secure the backpack to the board . Just throwing ideas out there.
