  1. After all his accomplishments… one of his goals is to win a tournament using FFS….the goat has deemed it an amazing tool that TAUGHT him things he "thought" he knew about bass. Food for thought….someone who has fished more than any of us.

Ps, don't you dare just respond with a generic thumbs up or like.

  2. I won a 15 HP Evinrude outboard motor (unfortunately it was the same year they went bankrupt) by having Ricky Clunn as my fantasy team winner of an old FLW TX. It was the 2000 FLW at Beaver Lake. Interestingly they (Charlie Evans) called him Ricky then. I was at a Walmart shopping when I saw and heard the win announced in the TV department.
I had no use for the motor, so I swapped it to a buddy at a boat shop to put brakes on my old 19 ft Startos boat trailer.

  3. Kevin VanDam, Rick Clunn, Roland Martin, and Bill Dance are the greatest bass fishermen of all time due to their achievements, influence, and impact on the sport. With his four Bassmaster Classic titles and seven Angler of the Year awards, Kevin VanDam has set the standard for competitive excellence. Rick Clunn, a four-time Bassmaster Classic winner, is revered for his longevity and mental approach, inspiring generations of anglers. Roland Martin, with a record nine Angler of the Year titles, not only dominated the sport competitively but also helped popularize bass fishing through his television show; similarly, Bill Dance, a three-time AOY winner, left a lasting mark not only through his competitive success but also as a pioneer in bringing bass fishing to mainstream audiences via his long-running television show. Together, these four legends have shaped the history of bass fishing, influencing techniques, inspiring countless anglers, and elevating the sport's profile to new levels.

  4. Steve, have to disagree on some points. I'll give you longevity. If, you compare stats, like tournament fished, and placements, his average would be average. Secondly, he never appeared on best fisherman, with most catches, that KVD, and Wheeler has on Bassfan have dominated for years. Thirdly, in the 91 Classis in Baltimore, he was rude to our Jr. Bassmaster fishing Club. That Ray Scott started, there were only 6 states that had then. Roland was the same, until he had to judge the ,cast, pitch, and flip contest. Hank, Larry, Gary K, Ken Cook, Bill Dance were first class. Yes,his 4 classic wins are remarkable. But, in 33 years, KVD is the GOAT, Rick is second now. I think, Wheeler has a chance to surpass, him, and maybe KVD. Other wise, always enjoy, your perspective.

  5. I believe that Rick Clunn is the greatest fisherman of all time. Kevin Van dam is a close second. The reason why I put Kevin Van dam behind Rick is because I don't believe we will ever see another angler fish at his level for as long. His longevity in the sport alone puts him ahead of everybody. We are already seen another Kevin Van Damme. Jacob Wheeler is forming into what Kvd was. Jacob Wheeler would have to fish another 30 years in order to be on Ricks level. We won't ever see that again

  6. One of my all time favorite anglers. Your right it’s amazing how long he has been a competitive angler. One of my most cherished autograph (1992 ) One class act. Thanks for posting this video today

  7. I agree Rick Clunn is a living ledged in the sport of bass fishing. He is also one of the most fierce competitors in the sport and the most humble of human beings. He gave more to the sport than he took from it. I look forward to what he will bring to the opens and the knowledge he will pass on to those at that level of competition.
