Redeye (Coosa) Bass | 2026 Georgia Bass Slam
In this video, I head out to a clear creek in the Coosa River drainage here in Georgia and end up landing a Coosa redeye bass—one of the most underrated native fish in the state.
These fish don’t get talked about enough. Living in clean, flowing creeks, Coosa redeyes are aggressive, beautiful, and a blast to catch—especially in water this clear. Moments like this are exactly why I love exploring these smaller systems and targeting native species.
This catch is another step toward completing the Georgia Bass Slam, and every species has its own story. The more I fish these waters, the more I appreciate how unique and important they really are.
If you enjoy creek fishing, native fish, or just getting outdoors, this one’s for you.
