The reason the red/orange color works so well is because moving into spring, one of the main foods of the bass is the crawfish. The crawfish start to mold their skin to a orange or dark red color. Also it stands out in the water.
I had this red and black rattle trap and I caught my pb catfish on it but I recently lost it to a bass

Mark knows a great lure & a rat-l-trap is one of them. My personal favorites is the toledo gold in 1/2 oz. & a bayou blue craw also in 1/2 oz.

I like the video and the host, I just don’t like rat-l-traps though. Never had good luck with them. Caught a couple monster Salmon last year with some but other than that, a few chain pickerel, but literally never a bass. I almost think they rattle too loud and scare the fish.
Hahahaha I love all these bloody bass fisherman using the Rat L Trap, and there all talking about how its amazing. If you think they work on bass then you'll be amazed at how well they work on pike. The fish just hammer them.

I have bluegill, shad, chrome and craw colors, but gold works best for me.

trying to get into bass fishing again its been a really long time but would a rattle trap be good to use right now its like a Forrest green color.
