Punch this – real mat punching beyond the lines for big bass

Yeah you saw that. All these pros lying about real fishing techniques. I don’t do that. Here’ s real fishing, real mat punching, real flipping mats.

I love punching mats for bass so this is a day on the water some heavy tungsten weigts, matted cover, and largmeouth bass.

Main target: points, corners, and seams of penny wort mats in just over 1ft of water.

Water clarity is pretty tannic and ~6-9″

  1. Parrot cam! Love it! It's rainy and cold out. I'm fiddling through my gear and hoping I can get back out on the water in a couple of days. Until then, I'm watching all these old Mikey Balzz vids that the YooToobs is so nicely recommending.

  2. Love the Grass mat approach to skinny water. Often times I was plunking em out. Now I see u gotta ease it In,or shake it thru! Save from blowing out so many fish.nice MB!

  5. Great video Mikey! This has to be the most in depth video I have seen on this. I especially appreciate the skinny water advice. We have a lot of that here on the Potomac. Would love to see a video in the pads one day. It would be cool to hear your approach and take on that!
    Keep up the great work!
