Our third trip ever to the Potholes Reservoir. The eye candy for bass fishing is overwhelming and what I’ve been surprised with, is the lack of other visible fishermen. I always thought this would be packed as today we visited after a tournament, and it was still pretty quiet.

I’ve typically fished smaller, less trafficked lakes as I like the quiet and non-pressured fish. But this place fishes like any other as far as I’ve been able to tell, drop-offs, structure and weeds. Go heavy on your line though, the weeds are sometimes mini bushes that have some serious hold and branch strength.
