Pop Walker 2.0, Bass Fishing, Henry Gilbey

Henry talks about the Pop Walker Surface lure, what its designed to do, how and when it is best fished and the conditions it favours.

POP WALKER
It pops more, it walks more, and it casts like a missile – the all-new version of the Pop
Walker is out of this world. The advanced geometry of the body ensures an excellent
walking action and great stability at all times, while the high-quality finish and perfect
details make the lure irresistible. While walking, the lure combines a popping noise
at each turn with a subtle rattling – sounds that will ensure any nearby predators are
aware of its presence. An excellent sea bass lure that will help you catch more fish,
even when the fish are heavily pressured. A wide variety of sizes available to cover LRF
and light game too.

• Poppin face
• Ultra-long cast design
• Ultimate walk-the-dog action
• Built-in discreet rattle
• Super-sharp and strong saltwater treble hooks

  1. I certainly like my original Pop Walker, and when I eventually lose it (yes Henry, you shouldn't lose surface lures but i do )🤣🤣) I will replace it with the mk II, unless version 3.0 is the new one by then😉
It would be nice to actually see what the lures and rods can achieve, distance wise.I appreciate distance isn't everything but some sessions it's needed.I'm an average caster I guess, but I practice in my field, and it interests me how different lures cast, whether they're stable etc. I do like SG lures, particularly the Panic Prey 100, that outcasts the patch for me. Interesting the new version sits lower, I've epoxied lead wire along the belly seam to achieve the same, giving a more subtle lure for calmer conditions, which also fishes on a slightly more even keel. What the bass think, who knows?, but it all adds to the fun.

  2. Nice lures, if I can get them in Ireland I'll give them a chuck over the shallow reefs in Clare when there's not a 12 foot double over head surf 😂👍👍👍

Looks like you're fishing in Ireland
