  1. Thats awesome!!! Congrats on the redemption!!! My son is stationed down at Cherry Point and I drive down and thats where we put in and fish the Trent River. Where you in the Trent when you caught ALL your fish? Didnt look like the Trent to me. At the top of the video, you said you were in a creek off the Neuse.

  2. Sweet memories. I fished the Neuse/Trent a lot back in the early 90s while i was in the Marine Corps. My buddy and i fished the Mellow Yellow team trail. That is a great fishery. Never caught huge hawgs, with 7lbs being my biggest, but caught a lot of 2-5lbs. Fishing the lily pads up from New Bern one day and had the biggest bass ive ever seen live come right up under my jerkbait like jaws. Probably 12-13lbs. It was right next to the boat so i guess it got spooked and turned away at the last second. Dont know about now, but black and gold colors were killer back then, especially around the bay areas. Black and gold rattle traps, jerkbaits, and crankbaits. And if the bass werent active, you could almost always catch some other species to ward off boredom. Thanks for bringing back the memories. Keep your baits wet and line tight. Semper Fi

  3. First time watching your channel but I used to live up in Holly Ridge for a couple of years in the late 90s. Fished the Nuese Trent a few times and had some good days there. Brings back memories
