Fishing with my friends today at Shelter Island.All day was sunny but the wind was a little cold.We had a very delicious food today but fishing was slow.We just caught 1 Perch .Still fun fishing and better than working,
All of the usual bay species can be caught from the pier, including but not limited to; barred sand bass, spotted bay bass, calico bass, halibut, sharks, bat rays, bonito, barracuda, croaker (several species), mackerel, shovelnose guitarfish and much more.
There are no fees or permits required and a California Sport Fishing License is not required while fishing from the pier. However, California Department of Fish and Wildlife does enforce state fishing regulations.

I was out there at the pier around 10am today. You weren’t kidding about it being a really slow day today.
