As I state in the video, I do not recommend navigating the west side of the river just north of City Island in a normal outboard prop boat. I made it through with a combination of calculation, monitoring water levels, and sheer luck. I could’ve easily gotten stuck with no way out. In fact, I broke one of my own rules: never drift downriver in a stretch you didn’t navigate up.
