Paul’s Favorite Baits for River Bass Fishing

Selecting the right baits can make all the difference in your success. But when river fishing, sometimes less is more. Spinnerbaits are excellent choices for river environments, as their blades create vibrations and flashes that mimic injured baitfish, attracting hungry bass. Buzzbaits churn the water’s surface, generating an enticing commotion that entices bass lurking near the shallows. Other topwater lures can be highly effective in rivers, especially during dawn and dusk, when bass are more likely to strike at prey on the water’s surface. The key to river fishing success is versatility; but there are some easy ways to simplify your set ups while still being ready for anything.

  1. I love a 90mm and that's all I use but…ummm that was a 75mm you had lol. That's the size that came in the mb box this year. Shorter fat body is 75mm or smaller. Longer slender body is 90mm and bigger. I think my biggest is a choppo in a 120mm
