Hello, I need some clarification. You mentioned Orange Lake over near Tampa. I am from out of state, but have seen a Orange lake that is south to southeast of Gainesville, near Micanopy. Is this the Orange lake you are speaking of? Thanks!
Lol I did both w my old man, he got us a charter, went out to a small little pond while we were down in orlanda over school break when I was 19, lol we could finally afford that family Disney trip by the time I hit 19, dad took up bass fishing and ide go sometimes, we caught like a 25 pound bag w shiners outa this thing and I ended the day catching a 9 and a half pounder off a dock, what a day and what a memory!!! It’s live bait I know, but we weren’t taking ourselves to seriously and only had a half a day to fish!!
i needed this 2 years ago when i was going to uti or living in auburndale haha. i loved orlando…the fab 5 were totally pressured but there is just random canals and spots everywhere to fish. we even found a tiny pond by ace cafe when we were at bike night lol.
Best day of fishing ever for me was on Lake George, a couple years before Rick Clunn won there, and in the same area. My buddy caught about 28lbs, I caught about 26 lbs, and combined we were over 30. He landed a 10 on a devil's horse. Most of mine came on a chatterbait. Second best was during Rodman's drawdown when we caught so many 4-7lbers we lost count. Crankbaits ticking the leftover grass on the bottom.

Orange Lake is one I have targeted for fishing. It's not too far from me, and I met a guy with a boat. We have plans to fish there in a few weeks. Thanks Steve. ✌️

Im located in Lakeland Florida. If anyone wants to fish Tenoroc fish management area hit me up. It's a series of old phosphate mines. Only open Friday thru Sunday. Carolina rigs and crankbaits….huge bass potential. Easily accessible from I -4.
