Its worth it… Cook county forest preserves suck. The best spots south of chicago you either need to wade or have a kayak. The des plaines, du page, kankakee, and several big lakes are all fished better having waders or a kayak. Pond fishing is always fun but it does get old… It seems like a lot of the ponds I fished when starting this channel are no longer fishable due to so many weeds that are out of control.
This was at Lake Sedgewick in Orland Park. Been here many times and some days are good some are bad just depends if they area biting. I see a lot of people fishing at the boat ramp and gazebos here and they dont catch much… Get yourself a kayak and a cheap fishfinder and you will see that figuring out a lakes depths structre and forage can be quite fun!
