Nobody Throws a Shaky Head This Big

In this video I break down one of my favorite offshore summer baits that doesn’t get talked about enough  a magnum shaky head.

Most people think of a shaky head as a finesse bait, but this big worm setup is something I keep tied on all summer as a way to check hard spots, isolated cover, logs, and offshore places that look like they should hold bass. I go over when I throw it, why I like it better than a Texas rig in certain situations, the sizes and colors I use, and the rod/line setup I trust for fishing it out deep.

If you’ve never thrown a big shaky head before, this is one worth trying.
